Dr. Nicole L. LaMora
DVM

Owner, Veterinarian

Dr. Nicole L. LaMora was born in Oklahoma on a military base and has had the incredible opportunity of living in many different states as her military family moved around. As a young child she always had a love for animals and a desire to help any animals that were injured or sick. As she grew up she began to truly realize the pivotal role that pets play in the lives of their owners and their owner’s wellbeing. She knew that as a veterinarian she would be able to support owners in making their pets as happy and healthy as possible.

Dr. LaMora attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Animal Science in 1996. After several years working as a Diet Specialist for the El Paso Texas Zoo, and also as a Customs Inspector and dog handler for the Department of Homeland Security, Dr. LaMora was admitted to Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She opened Brunswick Veterinary Hospital in 2015, building it from the ground up with a focus on bringing the highest standard of veterinary care to the community.

As a veterinary practitioner, Dr. LaMora’s top priority is to provide quality care to her patients. She likes communicating with clients about the needs of their pets, all things surgical, including TPLOs and other orthopedic surgeries, abdominal surgeries, and soft tissue reconstruction cases. Equally important to her are the relationships she creates with both her patients and their owners, and she enjoys helping to strengthen the bond we have with our pets.

Dr. LaMora is very involved in several veterinary organizations. She is the past President for the Capital District Veterinary Medical Society and also the past Representative for the Capital District to the New York Veterinary Medical Society. In addition she is super proud that the Brunswick Veterinary Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. LaMora is also certified in Companion Laser therapy.

Dr. LaMora has been married to her husband since 1998 and are proud parents to their very active son. They also currently share their house with a number of dogs, cats, horses, bearded dragons, salt and freshwater fish, chickens and a donkey and a goat! She enjoys horseback riding, reading, gardening and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
